Once upon a time, a beautiful peacock lived near a peaceful forest pond. He had colorful feathers and a magnificent tail. Every morning, he would look at his reflection in the water and admire his beauty.
One day, he saw a crane flying gracefully across the sky. The peacock proudly opened his beautiful tail and said, “Look at my wonderful feathers. They are much more beautiful than yours!”
The crane smiled and calmly replied, “Your feathers are certainly beautiful, but can you fly as high and as far as I can?”
The peacock tried to fly high into the sky, but he could only fly a short distance. He suddenly understood that although his feathers were beautiful, the crane had a special ability that he did not have.
The peacock felt ashamed of his pride. He apologized to the crane and said, “I should not have judged you because of your appearance.” The crane accepted his apology, and the two birds became good friends.
Moral: Everyone has different strengths. Never judge others by their appearance.
