Once there lived a crow in a dense forest. It was very black in color. There was a pond near the forest. A beautiful swan lived there. The crow was filled with envy on seeing the beautiful white plumage of the Swan. The crow thought it was due to the water in which the Swan constantly bathed and swam. So he left the neighborhood of the altars.
He wanted to became white like swan. So he started living like the swan. He got his living by picking up bits from the water and went and lived among the ponds and streams. But though he bathed and washed his feathers many times a day. He started swimming like swan but it didn't make any whiter. At last he died of hunger.
